Encryption Password Prompting

Sep 8, 2010 at 6:59 PM

Hello,

After running the following "get" command, I am prompted for an "encryption password".  I don't remember ever setting an encryption password when I put the files on S3.  Do you have any idea why I'm being prompted for this?

D:\restore>c:\scripts\s3.exe get bucketName/backup/ "d:\restore\" /key:[Key] /secret:[secret Key] /sub /verbose

s3.exe version 1.7 - check for updates at http://s3.codeplex.com
Please enter your encryption password: ....

Wrong password, or other cryptographic error

Thanks for your help!

I'm surprised it's asking for your password if you're supplying the key+secret on the command line.  Anyway, if you do "s3 auth" and answer 'no' to the password question then it will clear the password.  If you always want to provide your key+secret on the command line then you can just enter anything when prompted for them by the "s3 auth" command.
