Permissions issue with local folder when copying from S3

description

I am using the following syntax to copy data from the bucket that I named repository.mydomain.com.

s3 get repository.mydomain.com/directory/subdirectory/ e:\mylocalfolder /sub

But I get this error:

repository.mydomain.com/directory/subdirectory/
Access to the path 'e:\mylocalfolder' is denied.

I have given the local folder modify access to everyone.

I would appreciate any help.

Hello,
I wondering if there is a single key in your bucket with the exact name "directory/subdirectory/" which is causing s3.exe to try to write the contents of that key directly to the directory "e:\mylocalfolder" rather than to a file within that directory. Could you possibly send me the output from the command below?

s3 list repository.mydomain.com/directory/subdirectory/

Cheers,

Max

HI Max,

I am using the following syntax to copy data from the bucket that I named 'mke-production-backup' to my local folder

S3 get "mke-production-backup/exact-target-database/full-backup/DigitalDatabaseServices_backup_2014_05_05_010000_5851648.bak" "E:\Backup\ProdDBBackup" /big

But I get this error:

S3.exe version 1.7 - check for updates at http://s3.codeplex.com

Access to the path 'E:\Backup\ProdDBBackup' is denied

If I try with /sub option like below mention, its work fine -

S3 get "mke-production-backup/exact-target-database/full-backup/" "E:\Backup\ProdDBBackup" /sub

I have given the local folder modify access to everyone but still facing same issue.

As per your above comment, I run the list command as below -

S3 list mke-production-backup/e
xact-target-database/full-backup/DigitalDatabaseServices_backup_2014_05_05_01000
0_5851648.bak

And output is:

s3.exe version 1.7 - check for updates at http://s3.codeplex.com

5/6/2014 1:13:15 AM 5120.0M exact-target-database/full-backup/DigitalDatabas
eServices_backup_2014_05_05_010000_5851648.bak.000
5/6/2014 1:17:36 AM 1503.0M exact-target-database/full-backup/DigitalDatabas
eServices_backup_2014_05_05_010000_5851648.bak.001
2 files listed

I would appreciate any help as we uploading our production database using /big option and we have to merge splited files during download during 'get' using /big option.

Thanks
